Stepping outside your comfort zone is a great way to grow both physically and mentally. Luckily, Manchester-by-the-Sea is offering many activities to stimulate our minds and get us active!
Meditation allows us to block out our very loud and busy lives whenever we need to recuperate and relax. Tai Chi, a Chinese martial art, is a more active form of meditation that teaches you defense training while providing many health benefits. Interested? The Manchester Community Center is hosting classes every Wednesday from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM.
Writing is another fantastic method of releasing tension while developing an incredibly useful skill. Whether you write a blog (Like this one!), edit articles for a major corporation, or are just looking to create a short story, it definitely wouldn’t hurt to have some extra practice. From 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, the Manchester Library is allowing all types of writers to come in and silently work on whatever they need to without at-home or office interruptions.
